Developer

General Summary:
This position is responsible for developing, testing, and supporting new web based business application systems and database systems.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform requirements definition, design, programming, implementation, documentation and maintenance of new web based applications.
• Perform beta support for assigned products.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality.
• Work in a team oriented environment that stresses open communication.
• Collaborate with team members to build functional requirements and translate them into new web based applications or Web Services.
• Collaborate with IT Development Team in the design of all assigned systems; maintaining the design and development standards.
• Keep current with technical skills, knowledge of client technologies, and service offerings.

Education/ Experience:
Essential qualifications include an Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent computer applications development experience and a minimum of 2-5 years experience in application development with a strong working knowledge of design and support for .Net applications. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science and previous experience in application development using ASP.net and C# is preferred.

Skills Needed:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels; high attention to detail with strong analytical, design, and organization skills; proven ability to work with multiple priorities while operating under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

We do have about 30 people in our IT department, so turn-over is always going to happen. I just recently thought about posting the jobs up on here after talking with someone at the LAN and their interest in seeing the position. So they aren't all new postings, just new to the LAN OC community. I actually have one more to post, and that's resulting from someone retiring

We are a very large bank, the office building i work in has over 300 employees, and STAR Bank extends from Indy to just north of Fort Wayne. There are always job oppenings in a company this size.
