Need some games for you phone? Then this is the week. Over the next couple of days Google is selling games, apps, etc for ten cents on the Android Marketplace. Head on over to this LINK and check out what they have for sale. Again, this changes everyday so you have to be quick on the trigger to buy stuff. But don't worry, it's only ten cents so even if it sucks I bet you can find ten pennies laying on the ground throughout the week.

Looking for a new RPG/Stategy game? Have no fear King Arthur is here. With a savings of 75% for a total price of $4.99 you can add this to you Steam collection. Looking over at Metacritic it has a score of 79/100. Sure it's not in the 90's but for a $5 that's not to shabby. Pick it up before the sale ends on Thursday at 7pm EST.

Flatout 3 Chaos & Destruction

Hold on to your hats people, there is a new Flatout game inbound! We all love 'em, we all play 'em. With a release date of December 13th you can pre-purchase it right now for a savings of 10% aka $26.99. If you decide to wait you can pick it up for $29.99. With more than 47 different cars and trucks you find certainly find something that you will want to drive. With single and multiplayer along with Co-oP and Local Co-oP you can have fun no matter where your at. For those of you that hate racing games using a mouse and keyboard don't fret, controllers are enabled.

Two weeks left and I'll be a college grad. It's been a long couple of years but I am glad that I'll be done. Can't wait to see what the future holds for me. Pretty exciting times

This CarrierIQ thing is getting out of control really fast. If you haven't read up on it yet and you own a cell phone, I encourage you to search around for the lastest news and also watch the YouTube video that can be found here.

Looking for some RAM, wish that you had more? Check out this forum post from our Editor-in-Chief Wes.

Get your Xbox's ready, the Fall Update is coming. Looks like a revamp to the Dashboard is due. I wouldn't know though, I don't game on consoles.

Love this article over at PC Perspective about gaming, easily worth a read. Thanks goes out to PcPer.com for the link.

APB Reloaded is now on Steam for your Free-To-Play gaming goodness. Check it ou here.

The DLC for Battlfield 3 will begin dropping next week. For those of you that are playing this will increase your multiplayer gaming time. More DLC is always a good thing.

For those of you that are looking forward to the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon don't be too surprised if they gimp the device just a little. Google Wallet will not be coming. It's a sad day to be a Verizon customer.

That's it for this week LanOC. The next couple of weeks are going to be super busy. Not only do I have my final, finals for college but I am also going up to the Main LanOC office for Christmas.

Thanks goes out to all of our community for a great year. You guys are the best. Not only did you show up to our LAN when the S hit the F but you came out in the largest numbers that we have ever seen. 2012 is going to be even bigger for LanOC.

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Holidays from everyone here at LanOC.

Until next time,

03 April 2024

Over the last few years, I have been slowly upgrading our network. Some of it was just to clean things up but I have also been addressing issues that I have run into here and there as well. Most of that has been running smoothly but it seems like on the rare situations where I go on vacation or on...

Wired or wireless which do you prefer? In a perfect world, I prefer the audio quality of a wired headset but the convenience of wireless is worth it. You don’t have your cord getting in the way and you can keep your headset on even when you get up from your PC. Not to mention cord damage is one of...

Last year Crucial impressed with their first PCIe Gen 5 SSD the Crucial T700. Its performance was extremely impressive even when compared to fast PCIe Gen 4 devices. Well here we are at it once again and Crucial is stepping things up again with their latest drive the T705. Like with the T700, the...

It’s kind of crazy to think but the last time I had a Razer desktop microphone in for review was back in 2015 when I took a look at the Razer Seiren Pro . That wasn’t Razer’s first desktop microphone but it was part of their first generation of Seiren microphones and Razer has continued to evolve...

AMD launched, well relaunched their RX 7900 GRE today and I already took a look at the Hellhound that AMD sent over but Sapphire did also send their PURE RX 7900 GRE. I was a huge fan of the PURE the last time so I’m excited to see if their latest version is going to live up to that hype. One...

AMD’s GPU lineup started off with the RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX models on the high end and later they filled in things with the RX 7800 XT and cards below that. But the gap between the RX 7900 XT and RX 7800 XT is a large one, especially with Nvidia having competition there with cards like the...

With the launch of the RTX 4080 SUPER, I took a look at the Founders Edition to check out the performance of Nvidia’s new GPU. The Founders Edition cards however aren’t available from some retailers and you might find yourself looking at other options. Lucky for us Asus sent over their ROG Strix...

With Nvidia’s CES announcements, they announced three different GPUs all with the previously used SUPER designation. I took a look at the RTX 4070 SUPER as well as the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER but the crown jewel in all of this was of course the RTX 4080 SUPER. The RTX 4090 is still the flagship GPU from...

Last year when I took a look at the Sapphire Pulse RX 7600 I was impressed with Sapphire’s design which while not as small as the reference AMD design was still compact where most other aftermarket cards weren’t. That seems to be the same this time around with the launch of the RX 7600 XT and...

It’s been a surprisingly busy 2024 with a list of different GPU launches that were all announced at CES. AMD didn’t just announce the RX 7600 XT at CES however, they also introduced a new line of CPUs their Ryzen 8000G Series, and a few new SKUs in the older Ryzen 5000 Series as well for AM4...
