MSI CES 2011

msititleOne of the big introductions from MSI on their motherboard side is the P67 Big Bang Marshal, their flagship P67 board. With eight full PCI express x16 slots you are going to have the flexibility to run any combination of video cards and other x1, x4, and ,8 devices.  You still have MSI’s Military Class II components and their OC Genie II but most people will be impressed with this board’s size along. The eATX form factor has been out for some time but still to this day surprises me with its size.

While roaming around their suite we did have another board that really caught our eye. Where the model number would give us a hint as to what it was they have covered it with a sticker saying Big Bang Conqueror. After taking a close look at the socket this is obviously an AMD chipset, but not the standard 980 that we have seen in the past. This is a sneak peek at MSI’s 990FX board, we don’t have any information on it currently but this sample is no doubt just about ready to ship from the looks of it.

We also saw MSI’s Mini ITX H67 board for Sandy Bridge and their E350IA-E45 AMD APU board.
