This is a different review then what we have done in the past on the website, but change is good. I was provided with a LELO Lyla, a premium egg-like couple's massager with SenseMotion. SenseMotion is a technology where bluetooth signal is used in a wireless remote and the pleasure object varies depending on the set. This item is an awesome couple's toy which everyone should experience.

Packaging

Packaging is minimal black overlay with a small picture to the right of the product, and on the back it has a short statement from LELO, a picture of the wireless controller and pleasure object, has a contents listing towards the bottom, . It comes in a plain sturdy black box. With a velvety, soft inside holding the remote, the pleasure object, and a pin of the Insignia symbol in place. It has a little side covering with the AC adapter, batteries for the remote, sample of LELO personal moisturizer, a key to open the back of the wireless controller, instruction booklet, and a do and don't picture of what you can and can't do with the pleasure object and wireless controller, a pouch to hold your pleasure object and wireless controller, and last but not least a 1 year warranty/ 10 year quality guarantee booklet.

How Does it Work

With a wireless controller, you need to make sure that you sync the controller with the pleasure object. To establish connection, turn on your wireless controller first with the plus button. Your controller is now sending a signal and the controller is active. On the pleasure controller it shows a symbol which you need to press to turn it on after turning on your wireless controller. Hold this button for one second so it can seek the signal from the wireless controller. It can take a few seconds so be patient if it doesn't do it right away. The LED light on both of the items will flash when connected for 2 secs so that you know its connected and ready. Once synced there are 2 modes of the SenseMotion. For the first mode hold the controller flat in the palm of your hand it should give a low vibration coming from the pleasure object, which is called Lyla in this instance. When tilting the controller at an angle, the vibration will increase in both objects. Moving it from a horizontal position to a vertical position will increase it to the max 100% vibration. Once you find your vibration strength, you can tilt the controller back and forth to create a pattern to your liking. To change to the 2nd mode; press the middle button (it looks like an slightly offset parentheses) to change it.

The 2nd mode gives more freedom to explore your options. Moving the controller faster or slower gives you different options in vibration intensity. To get out of this mode, press the middle button twice. There are also the standard modes, 3-8, by pressing the middle button this will cycle through the modes. The plus and minus sign control the intensity. Plus being increasing, and minus decreasing. When charging the pleasure object there is a shiny end with a cord on it that unscrews to show a small plug for you to plug in to charge. This cap screws on tight enough to make sure that nothing falls in between the cap and body. The Lyla can be used on the outside and inside, depending on preference of the couple or person. The signal strength is shorten when is between skin to skin contact so when being used inside, it has to be fairly closed by to work. Make sure it is synced with the controller before using it, because if not it wont work. Cleaning the Lyla is just as easy as using it. It is waterproof so you can gently rinse it off with warm water or even use a toy cleaner is safe to clean the personal controller. The wireless controller can be used as a vibrator also for stimulating other areas. This option can be turned off when you hold the middle button for 2 secs.

Performance

Something like this is unique and to each person it can be different, but I'm going to describe how it worked for me. Some vibrators have a harsh, hard vibration which can be painful, with any LELO product that is not case, especially true with the Lyla. Lyla has a soft vibration which is comfortable and soothing, to other people may not have the same effect. The outer covering is silicone, which makes it have a soft, smooth feeling giving it the right amount of friction for play without being to abrasive. What makes this unique and different from anything out on the market is their SenseMotion technology. Beside the 3 sets in LELO's lineup, there is nothing else on the market like this. It connects through bluetooth wireless signal, making it a versatile massager. The wireless signal is a little iffy when the egg is used internally, range was dropped down to just a few feet at times. Other then that, the 39 feet is obtainable given an ideal situation. Another feature, which is such a simple thing but such an amazing idea, is the retraction leash. This string makes gives you a way to prevent the pleasure egg from being lost internally in the heat of the moment. As a whole the design of the Lyla is unique. The way it is controlled allows for multiple ways to enjoy yourself with or without a partner. The vibration in the remote itself can turn the remote into a second toy all together. For example, using the controller along other parts of your body will ramp the vibration up and down as you glide over your body. 

Overall and FV

Overall this is an excellent product but the price is high at $139, even compared to other LELO products. Its a premium product no doubt but it is worth every penny. In the end, you could buy a cheaper vibrator or just buy one that is built with a higher quality and has the potential to last longer. The SenseMotion technology is new and exciting and also makes this product unique so you won't find this anywhere else. The fact it is rechargeable helps add to the value also, but its a little disappointing that the controller still requires batteries, even if they included them. Hopefully they will considering making the controller rechargeable on future models also. All in all I would recommend the Lyla, it would be a perfect gift for a girlfriend or wife that you could both share together and its still priced less than dinner and a show together or a designer purse.

I agree. Sex and toys shouldn't be thought of as taboo but embraced because we all know if a women or a man says "Ew i don't do that" they probably do.
