Hello,
My name is David but my friends call me Big Dave or online i'm twodavez. I'm from Fort Wayne, IN and went to IU bloomington for a little while. I had too much fun and they asked me not to come back, so i moved home and i'm working at a bank and have been for 6 years now. I was married about a year ago and i'm expecting my first kid in March. I'm really excited about that. I'm also going back to school. (Stay in school kids, you'll regret not doing it when you were younger)
I just built a new i7 rig over the summer with some parts i won at LAN OC v4.0 and i'm traveling lots to use it at different LAN's in the area. I really enjoy meeting other people through gaming and enjoy the friendships that have been forged over the past few months with people on this site.
My name Twodavez came from my friend David's (daveyo) little brother. Daveyo's dad is also Dave, so when i would go over to hand out, his little brother would have a hard time figuring how there were so many dave's in the house. He came to the conclusion that there was brother dave, daddy dave, but there was still me dave. He figured out that there were three daves and i was #2 making me twodavez and the name stuck. that's what i was known as at their house and even my mom would call down to tell me dinner was ready, she would ask for twodavez to avoid the confusion of who was calling as we didn't have cell phones back then. So i'm not really two people, but that's where the name comes from...

So the cats out of the bag, or should i say the baby is out of the belly!
Wes was right, i did have a baby girl - Audrey Caroline. She was born 3/3/10 and is doing good. I even have a picture of her on my lap while i was gaming which is kinda cute!
I'd post the picture but i'm still not sure how to shrink photos and even when i do submit a photo, it ends up not showing up
But i do think i'm friends with most of you on Facebook, so you can see her whole Album if you haven't already!

Yeah, well that was a fun announcement to make! Just goes to show how close we've all gotten. I know i've appreciated some of the talk i've gotten from some of the other guys who game and have families. They are wise in their ways!

Congrats! That's a nice name (Audrey Caroline), very pretty. But good to see you back around and posting on the forums.

True true, i have to schedule times which isn't easy, about the only time i get to game is after the family goes to bed, but that makes for a sleepy daddy the next day, so it's not my favorite thing to do.
I was able to game and have her on a pillow in my lap, but now that she's not sleeping so much during the day, she wants entertained so i can't really just let her watch me kill people in BC2, she doesn't realize how good i am yet and isn't impressed!
I am going to stop by a LAN tonight though for a few hours, but i'm doing ok.
I'm not the biggest fan of the floppy head stage, i'm ready for her to react more to what's going on around her and walk and talk. Then she'll be more fun for me.

enjoy it as you can.. the docile stage shes in now is paradise compared to the two legged horror youre going to experience when shes mobile lol
