Its build time! was created by Myndmelt
Not that anyone cares about my crap and this stuff isn't that crazy (Sandy Bridge build) but I thought it would be cool to post my build info and pictures partly for myself but also to share this out there for fun.

The Old:

Case with the old crap in it.

The New Stuff:
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz CPU
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Mainboard
16GB Total - Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB)-x2
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RSC00-80GAD3-US 1200W Power Supply

The Helper:

Tearing out the old stuff:

Introducing the Silent Pro!

Installed into the case:

Delicious Mainboard glory:

Lotz of deez ramzz:

Introducing the new Star of the Show!

mmm pins anyone?

CPU/Ram has been installed and it was VERY easy:

Dropped the mobo into the case:

Now its time to start with some of the power cable bundles:

Progress:

**Please note I am not doing cable management just yet. I'm just trying to get to the point of functional for now.**

Uh oh. I don't really like the placement of the sata ports on the side. Kind of hard to get to. Thanks alot ASUS.

CRAP! The next issue is... I freaking forgot that my burner in my old PC was IDE. CRAPPPP. Luckily I had another system sitting around that had a Sata DVD-Rom.

Okay everything has been installed.

Lets cross our fingers for the first boot.

Bless the Gaming Gods! First boot successful.

I like the bios that asus has here.

Pic of the system running the new hardware.

The desk area:

At first I had a few issues. The system would hang on start up but after adjusting a few things and updating to the latest bios things seem to be much better. Thats all for now. If there anything else I should include, let me know.

I hope you were planning on some tri-SLI or something with that big power supply. It's WAY overkill for what you have now. My whole rig runs on a Cooler Master 750. Also, You mentioned the SATA ports weren't oriented the way you'd like them. Actually that's the way you want them. If you get a graphics card that is long, and it extends all the way across the whole motherboard, and if the SATA cables were sticking straight up out of it, they would get in the way of the cards. I had this problem on a previous motherboard and had to cut a section of plastic off the graphics card's shroud to make it fit. Not Good. Thank Asus for fixing a problem you didn't know you had yet.

Good point about the sata ports I hadn't thought about that because I have never dealt with the long cards yet. I am trying to hold off until the newer wave of video cards comes out (dont know if I will make it ;)). As far as the power supply I got a good deal on it, and I am a beleiver in buying a good power supply I also think that you shouldn't max it so if you get to 75 percent, you need should get a bigger one. That's just my theory. So when I do go to SLI I should have plenty of headroom.

I was just giving you a hard time about the power supply. I wish I had known my PC was going to require 2 graphics cards. I would have bought bigger. But..it hasn't died on my yet.
