I like your thinking! Excellent LAN support indeed. Up to 64 players. No interwebz necessary. Should run on every machine with ease! This is really something worth looking into!

I agree Ed, I picked it up on Steam for this very reason. Hopefully we can get some in at the LAN.

I was there! I actually think it was my suggestion to play, since it was one of the few that my son has on his computer at the time.

Two things:
Got the email that the game list is finalized? It doesn't look finished, just wondered while I'm posting.
More importantly, wanted to say that I have 2 guest passes for Killing Floor, hit me up if you want them in time for the lan.

Ok, I was kinda confused by the phrasing, since it sounded like you were setting in stone at midnight the game schedule, and wanted the last few votes before that.

So, the final game list is posted. You can find it here or under LanOC LANParties, then Game List.

A few things to remember, these are the most popular titles, chosen by you, the gamer. Therefore, it is wise to install and update (I stress update) these titles, since they are the most likely to be played. If you see one you want to play but don't own, please contact a staff member including myself (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), in most cases we have access to an extra copy you can use. However, don't rely on this, it is in no way guaranteed. You can talk with a staff member at any time during the event about getting a copy, but if you contact me before hand we can set something and be ready.

If you don't see a game you we're looking forward to playing listed, don't be discouraged. Ask around, or come to the staff table to make a request for players.

I know, 'tack'mania is just fun on the old typo.
SC2 may have been off because internet access may be up in the air.
And I agree; it's funny to look at the Steam playing records of CoD games, you can see a big influx in the release of a new version, along with a jump with the DLC, then they disappear once the next edition comes out. Personally, I've been playing a bit of CoD2 and I think it is great, with big intense battles and the depth of sound that puts you in the action. I think moving away from WW2 was a decent choice at the time, but now the market has drown in these modern CoD-clones. It sounds like MW3 will be the end of the series (8th in the series )

Who wants DoW over DoW2? I'd be interested in seeing who picked it.

WHile i've never played Dawn of War, i will need a copy and just put me on Nacelle or JJ's team, they can carry my noobness!

I don't know about "better". Less base building in 2.

I kinda like DoW2 better, but it may want internet more, and I think it's less max players. I'm up for both...

(Knife is #1 button then fire (left mouse))

I will get the dedicated servers for BF2 and BF 1942 and put them on my game server I am bringing.

Which version/expansion of DoW 1 and or 2 would we play... cause I own them all.

What is the patch level we need to be up to on DoW1? I don't want to be figuring that out the day of.

I found both final and extended DC mods for 1942. Anyone care to declare which should be installed?
