Random is the way to go. But then again I also think CS is silly and so old it is not even funny. And like some others have posted, I was not impressed on how some CS players acted in the past (at other lans).
I know going random really good players will complain they got a newbie on their team. But to me it is far far far better for everyone to have a good time (and a chance to win) than just a few really good players.
For what is worth I know at least two who had planned to come until the tournaments were announced and especially CS and not being random. But everyone's likes and opinions are different. I'm still coming (already paid) but more than likely will not be playing in the tournaments unfortunately.
With that said, I know how Wes feels trying to keep everyone happy.
