As long as it isn't going to cause problems for people around you or people who have to walk past you it is all good.

Its mainly only an issue when two people with chairs sit back to back :_)

yeah, it's not a pretty site when two people bring in chairs. If you're on a end, you can often cheat a little into the isle.
I'd say you should bring a chair (it's a long LAN and it's much more enjoyable with your own butt impressed chair :-)
