Fremont, CA (September 21, 2018) — ASUS today announced Republic of Gamers (ROG) Strix, ASUS Dual and ASUS Turbo graphics cards that are based on the new NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2070, which features support for high-speed GDDR6 memory and VirtualLink technology that enables quick, single-cable connections for next-generation VR headsets. For a detailed overview of our new GeForce® RTX 2070 lineup, please visit ASUS ROG.

The new NVIDIA GeForce® RTX GPUs have reinvented graphics and set a new bar for performance. Powered by the new NVIDIA Turing™ GPU architecture and the revolutionary NVIDIA RTX platform, the new graphics cards bring together real-time ray tracing, artificial intelligence, and programmable shading. This is not only a whole new way to experience games — it’s the ultimate PC gaming experience.

“Our new GeForce® RTX GPUs are ushering in an amazing new generation of games and immersion, and we're incredibly happy that ASUS continues to bring a legacy of experience and innovation to the industry,” said Justin Walker, director of GeForce® desktop at NVIDIA. “Each ROG and ASUS series meets the needs of a variety of gamers who will undoubtedly appreciate the updated designs and new cooling technology that will help drive their PC gaming experiences.”

ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070

The ROG Strix GeForce® RTX 2070 keeps Turing™ cool with three unique Wing-blade fans that have hubs that are about 9% smaller in order to accommodate larger fan blades. The card is also equipped with a myriad of premium features such as a metal brace that reduces tension on the PCB, Aura Sync-compatible RGB LEDs, and FanConnect II headers that allow hybrid fan control that accounts for both GPU and CPU temperatures.

Wing-blade Fans

The ROG Strix and ASUS Dual GeForce® RTX 2070 graphics cards feature patented ASUS Wing-blade fans. This technology boasts higher air pressure, reduced noise levels, and IP5X-certified dust resistance. For those who love silence, the fan controllers also support a 0dB mode* that stops the fans.

Auto-Extreme Technology

All ROG Strix graphics cards are produced using Auto-Extreme technology, an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry. Traditionally, soldering of through-hole and surface-mounted components has been performed in separate stages. Auto-Extreme technology allows all soldering to be completed in a single pass, reducing thermal strain on components and avoiding the use of harsh cleaning chemicals. This results in a better-quality product while reducing environmental impacts, including a reduction in manufacturing power consumption.

ASUS Dual GeForce® RTX 2070

The ASUS GeForce® RTX Dual 2070 adopts a 2.7-slot footprint to accommodate a larger heatsink, because bigger is better. The overall surface area of the cooling array is more than 50% larger compared to previous-generation designs. The improved heat dissipation provides more overclocking headroom for enthusiasts and an amazing plug-and-play experience by allowing lower fan speeds while gaming.

ASUS Turbo GeForce® RTX 2070

The ASUS Turbo GeForce® RTX 2070 is designed from the ground up for systems with multiple GPUs or other airflow-restricting scenarios. It incorporates a host of subtle design optimizations that improve airflow through the shroud and increase reliability. Upgrades include an 80mm IP5X dual-ball bearing fan and a new shroud design that allows more air to flow into the cooler, even when it’s pressed against a glass chassis panel or another graphics card.

*To activate 0dB mode, use GPU Tweak software and select Performance (P) BIOS mode, or engage Quiet (Q) BIOS mode via onboard switch.
