iXBT Labs Review: ASUS P7P55D LE Motherboard

"This time we'd like show you a cheaper Socket 1156 motherboard. It has a reasonable expansion capacity, an unexpectedly complex and high-quality power supply system, and a basic cooling system which is sufficient though. Still, it's a full-size ATX motherboard with S/PDIF outputs and eSATA ports on the rear panel, meaning you won't have to buy additional accessories."

Review of Lian-Li PC-8N aluminum case

All in all, Lian Li PC-8N is a high quality medium range box which offers great materials, low weight and an excellent finish. It has some good details like the anti-vibration system for the hard disks; the fans and their anti dust filters and grids… but I can’t help wishing it had a decent cable management system and that the installation was tool free. If it had those two features it would be a practically perfect case. Still the case is quite spacious and the fans are quiet which lifts the overall score somewhat.   The Lian Li PC-8N is not a cheap case; it goes for around 100 bucks at Newegg. The main reason for its rather high price tag is of course the aluminum and if you want a case in this material you will have to put up this much cash...

OCZ Black Edition DDR3 Memory Kit OCZ3BE1600C8LV4GK @ BmR

There is no shortage of DDR3 memory in the marketplace these days, and it's priced lower than DDR2 in many cases. As always though, the choices to be made when selecting RAM for a system can be confusing. There are a lot of kits currently available that are "optimized" for Intel i5 and i7 systems, and now OCZ has released two new low voltage kits that are designed to complement the AMD Black Edition series of CPUs. Both sets of DIMMs are specified at 1600 MHz; one at CL7 timings, and the other at CL8. They are both rated to run these speeds at 1.65v. In this article Benchmark Reviews will examine how a dual-channel kit of CL8 modules, optimized for an AMD 790FX platform, performs at a variety of speeds and timings.

ATI Radeon HD5830: The Promiscuous GFX card from AMD @ eTeknix.com

"AMD within the past year has released graphics cards in which not only compete with Nvidia’s price scheme but also obliterate Nvidia’s high end gaming graphics cards. So it is with no surprise that AMD continues to clear a path for the budget conscience user. AMD within the past year have proven themselves very successful with their 4000 series, as well as their 5000 series, which leads the market in performance to this day."

IPEVO Point 2 View (P2V) USB Camera Review

When you think about a webcam, what comes to mind? I know most of us will recognise the typical web camera’s that have become very popular over the years. Basically consisting of a small bubble shaped camera on top of a small, wobbly, unstable stand. The balancing act of having the camera on top of your monitor, or on a stack of CD’s and books to try and get that perfect angle is much more than just a hassle. Though fortunately our good friends at IPEVO have come up with a nifty, possibly Pixar inspired webcam that takes care of all these problems, and offers much, much more! Going by the name of “Point 2 View” (P2V) this USB camera lets you do exactly that, point it where ever you like, to show just about anything, at almost any angle possible!

Gigabyte Geforce GTX 260 Super OverClock Video Card Review @ Madshrimps

We have seen many factory-overclocked cards from different vendors, but most of these cards just push the GPU/MEM clocks using reference design hardware. Once in a while, a cards pop up like this Gigabyte SOC card which deviates from the group and packs a whole lot more punch then what other vendors can offer.

The Ultimate Software Installer @ eTeknix.com

"Being a tech-savvy computer user in today’s society generally involves reinstalling your own Operating System and / or another persons. Ok… So I’ve been working with computers ever since I was about 7 years old. I remember the first thing my dad introduced me to was MS-DOS… Ok at 7 years old, let’s be honest, MS-DOS is not that impressive, but that is not why I would spent hours of my time on the computer."

Best CPU Cooler Performance AMD Socket AM3 Preview @ BmR

AMD Phenom II Black Edition CPU's have been a popular choice for enthusiasts and budget-conscious overclockers lately, and Benchmark Reviews decided it was time to focus on AMD in one of our Best CPU Cooler Performance series. In this preview article, Benchmark Reviews tests several CPU coolers on the AM3 socket for the AMD Phenom-II platform. An overclocked AMD Phenom II X4 965 "Black Edition" processor was used (original 125W version), and given a heart-warming 1.55 volts to the vCore so it could reach 4000MHz (4GHz) stable. The heat produced at 1.55V caused at least one product to earn high marks in our tests, while another fell so far below respectible performance that it pains us to expose it.

ASUS EEE PC 701SD Netbook Review @ Bigbruin.com

We're going to take a look at the ASUS EEE PC 701SD; a "classic" netbook being sold as a refurb by Geeks.com. While the EEE line-up is now a few years old, it is still extremely popular. Newer models might offer better specifications, but they will also come with higher price tags that will put them in the ball park with some cheap laptops.

CRU-DataPort SecureDock 500GB Encrypted Enclosure Review at CCE Reviews

The CRU-DataPort SecureDock is definitely a unique product. This is not your average external hard drive enclosure! Offering both USB 2.0 and eSATA connectivity, the SecureDock manages to do what it says and does so extremely quickly as our testing shows - especially if you use the eSATA interface. In terms of encryption, the device is very easy to use. There is no software to install and everything is seamless. The lock-and-key system and mini-USB style security keys work well as well. My favorite feature has to be the fact that you can use any SATA hard drive with the SecureDock; you're not limited to just the 500 GB unit that comes with it.

Razer Imperator Gaming Mouse reviewed in Metku.net

Ever since their first models they've been pumping out successful models one after another, and this time their newcomer - the Imperator - came to our tests."

VIZO EZ-SURF Fanless Notebook Cooler Review @ Virtual-Hideout

“Before I attempted to install the sticky rubbery tape thingy, I mean the "heat absorbing material", I thought there really wasn't anything to this product. It was basically an aluminum slab with some plastic ends. However introduce the sticky pad thingy and we've got a whole new animal. The sticky pad was easy to apply to the unit, however then you need to peel off the top adhesive protector. That's where the problem starts. There was no way to remove it without messing it up. It just wanted to peel off the main unit. This is by far the worst product add-on that I have had the displeasure of working with. I honestly can't believe VIZO would attempt to pass this headache onto the customer. It shows their failure to design and engineer some grippy material into the unit itself. I tried to use the EZ-Surf without the sticky pad and it honestly shot right out from underneath my laptop letting it crash to the table. It's that slick (plastic and aluminum) without it. The angled and smooth edges don't help, they only hurt that problem.”
