So I decided to do a new build from my current PC. Here is what I did:
CPU - Intel Corei5-4690K 1150
MB - Asus ROG / Maximus VII GENE mATX 1150 MB
RAM - Kingston DDR3-1600Mhz - Red Heatsinks
Case - Corsair Carbine Air 240 mATX
Cooler - Corsair H100i Closed Loop
Boot Disk - Crucial 256GB SSD
Power Supply - Seasonic 660Watt Fully Modular Gold PS
I brought over the old system:
MSI GTX 760 HAWK Video card
Seagate 3TB HDD
Patriot Pyro 120GB SSD
I did a refresh reload of Windows 8.1 and then applied the Asus overclock program for a 4.5Ghz OC on the system. Tested stable at running Diablo 3 for about 2 hours with no issues.
Previously I had a 4Ghz OC on my Core i5-3570K / Asrock Z77 platform.
Next I hope to add some red fans to the front of it for the radiator and upgrade the video card / monitor combo.
I saved $70 on the motherboard as it was on sale at Microcenter for $30 off then by getting the CPU I saved another $40. I also got a combo discount on the case / cooler and I got $5 off the RAM as well.
I love this case and the H100i is performing well at keeping it all cool with not alot of fan noise compared to the Coolermaster Seidon 120 I had in my other system.
Definately satisfied with the case / cooler combo.
I am the LAN!!!!
