We made it all the way out to the end of the strip at the MGM to visit our friends at Sapphire this year. Other than the obvious things like the HD 7970 that we recently covered and the HD 7950 that we couldn’t photograph we did get a look at a few upcoming products from Sapphire to be excited about in 2012.
First things first they showed off a new product called Sapphire Vid-2x, a display port video adapter. In this case they were running two monitors off of the adapter hooked to a Macbook pro. The adapter had no trouble as they ran 1080p video and did 3d rendering at the same time. I was mostly impressed that the adapter will actually let your laptop or PC see the multiple monitors as one monitor with an extremely wide resolution.
Here is a sneak peak at Sapphire upcoming X79 motherboard.
They were also showing off a new Edge-HD mini-PC called the HD3. This time around it runs on AMD’s upcoming 3450 APU with the HD6320 video card. We loved the original; this one just packs more power and a little more hard drive space in the same form factor!
