Haf X Build Log (Wolf's Head)

Well It's taken a while to get this build log started but here we go.

Here is some pics of the build progressing. I didnt do it alone though I had the help of my 10 month old Grant. The left over pizza sauce on his face was his idea.


















I wanted to have a theme for the build being my frist real case mod I've done. So I thought I would go with the wolf's head logo from The Witcher.



The bright-red and Black color scheme was to stick with The Witcher logo, but probably turned out more of an orange than a bright red. I also got the primer on to thick. When it dried it cracked a bit so I sanded off what I could and resprayed.








Here is where the build stands right now.


















Next I have to cutout the fan on the side to put in a prefab window i got from frozencpu.




I have some mirrored red acrylic I plan to use on the other side of the case. I figure I will cut out the same pattern as the window on that side. Put in a sheet of the acrylic with a light behind it, and put on a vinyl decal of the wolf's head logo. Should look pretty good.






Finally I was going to use the other piece of acrylic under the motherboard with a led behind it to make it glow; however I kept reading forums with people ruining there boards due to static electricity. I didn't think this was a problem due to it being made of plastic. but i figured better safe than sorry. So im going to cut pices and place them in the case to even out the red and plack inside the case. Let me know what you guys think.

Shit dude, even if its not bright red I think that orange color looks pretty cool.

I plan on cutting out the part that sticks out on the wire management side. Then cut to size and bolt on a sheet of the mirrored red acrylic. I will put the vinyl logo on there. So it should be black vinyl with the mirrored red acrylic under it. Should end up looking like my avatar minus the black back ground.

Wire management tonight maybe I will get more than that done. I will post some pic later.

Ok wire management done and white led strips installed. Wow that might be a little to bright.



Nice and clean

I put some of the mirrored red acrylic on the interior in an attempt to bring out some more orange (Should be red but its not )

I went out to Dad's today and finished up the window and the logo the only thing to fix that is a piece of the acrylic on the interior is to long. I will have it done before the lan. All in all it looks really good in my opinion. upon closer inspection there are a lot of flaws; however ,for my first case mod I'm pretty happy let me know what you guys think.
