League of Legends

I know some of you are DOTA players, so I'm assuming this game has to appeal to a couple of you. My friends and I play a whole lot of it, and it's very similiar to DOTA. League of Legends is the one that actually has the guys who created DOTA All-Stars for Warcraft III on the staff. I tried Heroes of Newerth and I tried Demigod, the only one that has stuck for me is League of Legends. It's completely free to play, and they go through a rotation of 10 free champions every week so you can try to find ones you like. Once you do find one that you really enjoy you can either spend money on the game in the form of Riot Points, or you can spend what are called IPs. You gain IPs every single time you play the game, so you can unlock as many champions as you want without every paying a dime. Riot Points only allow you access to more champions and cosmetic skins that change the way your champions appear. People who spend money on the game have no advantage over the free to play people because you can't buy Runes with RP.

Going to install this again. Way back when we learned about DoTA (to be precise, it was actually that mod-of-a-mod that Twodavez introduced to us), both HoN and LoL came up. Since I've finally given HoN a chance and love it, I'm definitely psyched to try LoL.

I tried playing DoTA at CES with the LanOC crew and I just couldn't get my head wrapped around it. I think it was because I was on a laptop. I have this installed but the launcher kept crashing so i'm redownloading it now. I will have to jump on and play.

Just sent out a whole bunch of invites. I will hop on tonight to play. Yea, I suck, don't worry.

I tried to play HoN and I just couldn't stand the community. I'd join games that said noobs only and then get yelled at for not knowing what to do the entire time. It annoyed me so much after a few games I just stopped playing because every single person was an idiot.

Cool, I was playing through the tutorial but the UPS guy showed up with my 580's. So naturally I quit the game and installed my new video cards. I will play tonight though. I was having a bunch of fun while I was playing but that damn UPS guy, lol.

Shib, LoL has a system in place to report players like that. They take it very seriously. They have a summoner's code. If you don't follow it doesn't matter how much money you put into the game they will ban your ass.

I know, that's what I meant. I like LoL a lot better than HoN because of the attitude of the community and the game designers.

I think you misread or I mispoke, I think HoN sucks and LoL is awesome!

Oh and I'll be in GF aggro range by 10:30 We'll have to catch some games another time.

There are a lot of games out right now that i'm playing. Hard to choose just one.

Use those eyes, I see you on. I just get into games before your finished with yours. I get on most nights around 9 or 10.

The problem is I sit on vent. If you want to play jump on vent, that's why we and our community paid for it. I rarely ever look at my Steam's friend list.
