Hey guys,

I just got into the Smite beta and was wondering if anybody else here is in it or if anyone would like some keys. Looks like I have some extras to give away if anybody wants to try a dif MOBA.

Anyone have a chance to play much yet? Played a practice round and a novice match last night, looking forward to trying it more. It is taking some getting used to for me UI-wise, such as hovering over skills isn't available unless you hold tab to create a cursor (since the mouse moves your frame of view), and I haven't figured out how to ping.

Would anyone be up for grouping up in vent tonight to give this a shot? I haven't even launched it yet (been too busy with BF3) but it looks very fun.

I saw Davey-boy playing this. It looked really hard to keep track of people around you in team fights, plus the aim system seemed off (or maybe it was one of Davey-Boy's first games )
Do let us know if it's the new LoL.

Lersar I think if you push K it pulls up a screen with the skill abilities, granted that's not useful for ingame.

I do however like how easy it is for you to call mia's. Hit V, F, then the lane you are in.

does TF2 have the "IN game Push-to-talk" patent or something? I still don't understand why games don't include this as a standard feature...

The lane MIA does look good, hopefully it's something that LoL will "borrow" and release in a future patch...

Good to know, thanks! I hit a few shortcut keys while desperately trying to escape, noticed a few built in voice commands.

I don't think it has any more potential of being "the next LoL" than MNC did, I don't think that's what they're going for either.

Do you think this may be a bit easier for me to get into, as someone who just cant seem to get the hang of LOL, HON, etc? I guess this would be the most similar to MNC?

I just registered for the beta, no clue if I'll get a code.

I guess i forget about MNC being this type of game but in 3rd person/FPS... Good point. I just don't normally die in the hands of the minions like can happen in the other games of this type.
I guess MNC reminds me too much of TF2 as the minions can play a part, but aren't as important as being good at the hand to hand combat. Also with just upgrades instead of items...

Super MNC is far closer of a relation to the MOBA genre than MNC was.

I would encourage you to give a try. The spirit of the MOBA genre is still there, in that a certain team composition will rise, you still need to learn items and counters, etc., but the point of view is enough to make it different. Ganking, for instance, is not as easy to counter because you can only see what is in front of you.
