I'm sure you guys are aware but if not McVans is closing up shop in Fort Wayne. Everything is 50-75% off excluding the hardware and accessories but all the games from Atari up to this current gen.

I just picked up 6 Saturn games and like 12 Dreamcast games for about 30 bucks.

They also have more stuff in boxes and in the basement so hard telling what gems are waiting to be picked.

Do they have a final date? Obviously first come first serve, but if its still going on this weekend I may be able to make it.

Also here's an article:

I asked the guy today what their final cut off date was and they said they didn't know yet and if they keep having days like today (pretty busy) they are just going to keep selling what they have in stock.
A lot of people buying the DVD's and Blurays for 2.99 a piece
Even have a nice HD-DVD collection haha.

Oh forgot to mention the one off of Washington Center Road next to Richards is closed, the main one in Georgetown is their big one with all the old games.

I read through most of the comments on the newspaper site and i'd have to agree about the service, it was always pretty terrible, almost like when you walked in, you were the problem, not the solution to the business model

One of the final posts said that most of the items are gone and it's not worth the time/effort to go. Just in case you were thinking about making the trip in. My guess is that everyone who frequented the store and could afford the higher prices, scooped up everything good at a great discount... JUST an FYI to save you the trip over to the fort.

I don't know about "most" of the stuff being gone because their various Sega console offerings had plenty. I'm sure there would be something you would be able to find.

Most of the people were picking the newer stuff from the PS2 era and up.

I can see if you don't play the older stuff than yeah you might not see something to tickle your fancy.

Ya like Twodavez said, Digital Download services did to Mcvan's as to what Netflix and the like has done to the brick and mortor Block Buster stores and what not.

Good memories though from McVan's back in the day I bought a lot of games from there. Just last year I got rid/sold all my Game Gear game's etc.
