Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard

For most PC gamers, the best part about playing on a PC over console is the added control and flexibility of using a mouse and keyboard. More specifically the mouse gives you the amazing control that just can't be found with a gamepad. The keyboard, although flexible, has always been used for typing first and gaming second. A few companies have brought out gameboards that replace the keyboard all together giving you access to all of the buttons needed without any of the extras. Logitech's G13 is their first attempt at a gamepad and with all of their experience with gaming accessories, I have high hopes.

So you do'nt use a mouse when you use this? i guess you could use the thumbpad to look around...

no you still use the mouse, the direction pad can be used for anything but its best used for forward, back, and side to side

As one who travels often, I like to keep track of these products. While my current favorite keyboard for gaming is the Logitech G15 mainly for its robust design (I abuse these parts), I have used a Fang before and my only complaint with that product was no button where the "X" key is on a typical keyboard (I was real heavy into the Battlefield 2142 game, and this was my tank shield/ helo flare button).

How does this product compare to the other offerings of the market:

Ideazon Fang (owned by Steelseries, no longer produced)

The Ideazon and Thermaltake offerings both don't include buttons under your directional pad like you are looking for. The Belkin is similar to the g13, I have messed around with a few at lans. I have been trying to get one in to test for some time. I would love to put it up against the g13. As for the Cyborg, I have no experience with it.
