Diamond Multimedia HD5770

A very good review. Nice to see some hardware taken from the perspective of a LAN-ing rig. The Diamond HD5770 seems to do very well there.

How does it do in starcraft2? I have read in the tech forums that people are having problems with 5700 series and running ultra/high settings. Most people put it on medium to get decent fps. Haven't heard anything else bad about the card though.

Is SC2 really that graphically demanding at high settings? It ran fine on a $30 budget card I used to have with default settings, as opposed to BFBC2 which it couldn't handle.

Its not that the card is bad and its not that SC2 is demanding. Just something I read on the beta forums when I was having crashing issues with my card. I didn't quite read through the whole discussion on it, but I got the idea that some people were having issues. They said the card runs great on all other games.

That's really interesting... like Wes said we'll have to give it a go, should be an interesting aspect to check out.
